Icynene Spray Formula
Applied as a liquid, Icynene® expands to 100 times its volume in
seconds to fill every crack and crevice while remaining flexible
so that the integrity of the building envelope seal remains
intact over time. Icynene’s spray formula has an R-value of 3.6
per inch. It acts as a complete insulation and air barrier to
minimize air leakage and seal the building envelope for optimal
airtightness.

Pour Fill Formula
Icynene®’s pour fill variation is an insulation and air barrier
that injects the latest building technology into an older
building to maximize energy efficiency while still preserving
its original architectural details. Icynene® fills the wall
cavity completely, starting at the bottom and slowly expanding
upwards to 60 times its initial volume. Since Icynene expands in
the direction of least resistance, it will not expand outward
and damage the wall. The pour fill formula has an R-value of 4
per inch.

Over the years, a number of studies have confirmed that indoor
air can contain a number of harmful chemicals and biological
agents such as mold, allergens and volatile organic compounds.
There is also growing evidence that poor indoor air quality
affects the health and performance of the people who work, live
and study in poorly designed and constructed buildings. These
studies confirm that air pollution concentrations indoors can be
2 to 5 times higher than the air we breathe outside (U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency). As the only insulation

Icynene® is 100% water-blown and contains no HCFCs, HFAs, HFCs
or formaldehyde. Icynene is a high-performance insulation and
air barrier system that works to minimize the intrusion of
outdoor pollen, allergens and pollution from entering the home.
By reducing air leakage, Icynene assists in controlling moisture
transfer through the building envelope. This helps to minimize
condensation and the potential for mold growth within the walls
and ceilings. Icynene® has been tested by Texas Tech University
and was found not to be a food source for mold.
